At the Google for Education conference at Pier 57 in New York City, Bilingva provided the Portuguese conference interpreting — and the equipment and technicians behind it — so international educators could take home every insight, in real time. It is one event in a partnership that goes back more than 15 years.
From a curated room to a 300-person auditorium
Google for Education started small for us — a single room of curated executives from Latin America. It has since grown into a full theater auditorium at Pier 57 with multiple breakout rooms activated after the main presentation, topping out around 300 attendees last year. Bilingva has scaled right alongside it, providing two professional Portuguese interpreters for these full-day events, plus all of the equipment and on-site technical support.
Simultaneous, hybrid, and space-constrained
Pier 57 is prime real estate, so booth space is at a premium — we run half booths and lean on our engineering. Our team routes the room microphones, the main program mix, and the Google Meet feed (where remote participants dial in) all into the interpreting console, then distributes the Portuguese channel both to headsets in the room and back out to Google Meet. Remote and in-person attendees hear the same seamless simultaneous interpretation — and Bilingva provides every piece of that chain.
15+ years supporting Google — nationwide and beyond
Google for Education is one thread in a long relationship. We’ve supported some of Google’s largest events, including Google I/O, with interpretation set up across the entire Shoreline Amphitheater. We regularly interpret customer visits to the Google Cloud center in Sunnyvale, along with events like Google for Education and the Google Public Sector Summit. The language requests span Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.
Our team travels with all of its own equipment. For Google alone, we’ve worked venues across New York City — from Basketball City on the waterfront to one-on-one executive meetings inside Google’s offices — and delivered events in Washington, D.C., Orlando, and Nashville, plus international sessions in São Paulo, Mexico City, and Amsterdam. Wherever the event is, we bring the interpreters and the equipment.

Google presentations move fast and run deep — dense slides, live product demos, and rapid exec-to-exec discussion. Our interpreters are trained on Google’s terminology and product vocabulary, and they anticipate the needs of the account teams bringing international buyers and customers into the room, so nothing technical gets lost in the moment.
