Conference Interpreting at Google Partner Summit 2017

Bilingva provided conference interpreting services for the largest ever Google Partner Summit in New York City, that brought together over 1,000 executives from all parts of the world.

With the main event located in Basketball City, Pier 36, and a special awards ceremony hosted in beautiful Google Chelsea Market building, this was one of the largest conference interpreting events Bilingva conducted in the United States.

Overall, Bilingva provided eighteen simultaneous interpreters in Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese languages, running in parallel in three separate spaces inside the enormous Basketball City structure. On top of that Japanese and Mandarin simultaneous interpreters were assisting at the awards ceremony at Chelsea Market building.

Bilingva worked tirelessly for several weeks prior to the event, setting up the logistics and flow of both events to make sure that everything from audio and video feeds to the space for booths and receiver handout and collection were handled in a seamless and efficient manner. Bilingva’s technical team worked with Freeman XP in configuring and setting up fully encapsulated booths, and delivering crisp audio and uninterrupted video feed from the stage for the best possible interpreting flow.

Event attendees could freely switch from room to room for the breakout and track of their choice, instantly switching to the channel of the language and the presentation they would like to hear. Over the course of two days of the event, over two hundred people leveraged the provided interpreting service.

Bilingva selected vetted and qualified interpreters from its pool of skilled candidates to maximize local presence and minimize travel and chances of any disruption. Our talent pool includes interpreters working in New York City on high profile assignments at the United Nations Organization as well as graduates from Monterey Defense Language Institute and acting members of the American Translators Association.

With presentation materials provided ahead of time, Bilingva was able to select the best candidates based on the subject topics, the theme of the presentation and the overall expected speed of presentations for the best possible delivery.
