Headphone Amplifiers

Headphone amplifiers are useful for a compact setup when you have an audio feed from the event stage or speaker, and you want to provide interpreters with a clear sound and ability to independently control the volume of the sound they hear without involving main sound technician. Examples would be small conference or board rooms where a speaker is talking over a PA system, while interpreters whisper into a portable transmitter. PA systems tend to distort the voice significantly, and it makes the interpeters' job a lot harder. A headphone amplifier has a very small footprint, requires minimum setup, and provides interpreters with a crystal clear sound direct from the voice channel.

We offer PreSonus and ART headphone amplifiers. Each is capable of connecting 4 headsets or headphones.

Pre-Sonus Headphone Amplifier

The new HP4 from PreSonus answers the need for a headphone distribution amplifier with professional specifications in a small package at an affordable price. The HP4 features four discrete headphone outputs on the front panel each with its own volume potentiometer and 150mW of amplification per channel. The HP4 also features adjustment over control room monitors with a separate volume control, monitor mute switch and mono switch giving you an extremely powerful monitoring solution.

ART Headphone Amplifier

The HeadAmp4 offers 1/8th-inch as well as 1/4-inch inputs and outputs as well as lower noise, lower distortion and more output in a new custom extruded stackable metal case. Individual level controls for the four headphone outs, 1/4-inch and now 1/8th-inch connections allow the HeadAmp4 to connect to virtually any source, and drive any headphone configuration including studio phones, in-ear monitors or custom ear pieces or any combination of the above.
